Warren B. Lammert - Driving Biotech Research Focused on Rare Diseases
Warren B. Lammert serves as Chairman of Tevard Biosciences, which is working to develop next-generation mRNA-modulating therapies that include the Suppressor tRNA, and the mRNA Amplifier and Booster platforms. These therapeutic modalities address heart disease, neurological disorders, muscular dystrophy, and other rare genetic disorders. Warren B. Lammert is the father of a child with a rare genetic epilepsy, Dravet Syndrome, which drives his interest in finding pathways to cures for these devastating diseases. Mr. Lammert also heads Granite Point Capital, an investment company which he founded in 2004 to invest in public and private assets. Prior to Granite Point Capital, he worked in asset management as a portfolio manager and as an analyst in New York City and Denver, Colorado. Mr. Lammert has devoted significant time throughout his career to philanthropic work and served as a Board Member and as Chairman of the national Epilepsy Foundation. He was also the founder and chairman of the Epilepsy Therapy Project and of Epilepsy.com which later merged with the Epilepsy Foundation. He has a strong interest in languages including Spanish and mandarin and has maintained an interest in economic history and development. Mr. Lammert earned an MSc in Economic History with Distinction at the London School of Economics.
